Workshops and classes

Since 2023 I’ve been running creative workshops.
I now run 2 weekly art classes, 1 in Romsey on a Monday evening and 1 in the New Forest on a Friday morning as well as one off workshops.
This even includes christmas wreath making workshops as being creative doesn’t just extend to painting!

Art Classes
I run two regular art classes in the enchanting New Forest village of Nomansland and the beautiful Freedom Centre in Romsey.
Anyone is welcome to join at any point, all classes are designed for beginners and improvers.
The classes started off as an introduction to watercolour course and after it ended everyone just wanted to keep on going! I plan each week looking at a different theme, style or art material where you can suggest ideas as to what you’d like to learn.
I’ll teach you techniques and practice exercises before you can use these to create your own artwork later on in the session. I’m always available to guide you if you get stuck or you can just dive on into the creative flow.
From watercolour to acrylic, ink, gouache, tea painting and more! When the weather is good we can even do en plein air (outdoor) painting.

Flexible booking for either class, no need to pay for whole terms (see booking policy).
Pay as you go: £35/session or £30/session if booking 5+ sessions
All the art materials and refreshments provided.

Art class booking and cancellation policy:
If you are attending a regular art class, sessions it can be at a pay as you go rate of £35 per session but will still need to be booked due to ensure a space! I have 10 spaces available in Nomansland and 12 in Romsey each week.
To pay a reduced class bulk booking rate (£30/session), 5 or more session dates must be confirmed at the time of booking (these do not need to be consecutive - you can book around your holidays/other commitments).
If you are unable to attend due to an unforeseen circumstance e.g. illness, a surprise family visit! one of these pre-booked sessions can be rolled over to a future date once per term.
If I have to cancel the class for any reason, your booked session can be carried forward to a future date.
Please pay for your classes via BACS and pop your name in the reference as well as just sending me a message what dates you’re booking for! Details will be sent to you following an enquiry :)
Private group workshop
If you are a business, organisation or even just a group of friends I am happy to offer private group workshops at a venue of your choice.
Workshops can be daytime or evening, a minimum of 5 people up to 14 people.
I can provide all the art materials including table cloths.
Workshops could include an introduction to watercolour, a Christmas theme. Have a look through previous workshops, my work, or just contact me to have a chat if you’re not sure!

Giraffe Watercolour Workshop
Venue : Lemon & Jinja
Date: Tuesday 4th June 2024
Time: 6.30 - 8.30 pm
Cost: £38
This is a watercolour painting workshop. You will be taught how to create your own Giraffe painting using a ‘wet in dry’ watercolour technique.
This workshop is designed for beginners as an introduction to watercolour and you will be provided with all the art materials you need (just bring an apron to protect your clothes!).
I will teach you some techniques, guide you through some simple practice exercises before you will have the opportunity to paint your own giraffe.

Sea Creatures Watercolour Workshop
Venue : Lemon & Jinja
Date: Tuesday 2nd July 2024
Time: 6.30 - 8.30 pm
Cost: £38
This is a watercolour painting workshop. You will be taught how to create your own sea creature painting using a ‘wet in wet’ watercolour technique.
This workshop is designed for beginners as an introduction to watercolour and you will be provided with all the art materials you need (just bring an apron to protect your clothes!).
I will teach you some techniques, guide you through some simple practice exercises before you will have the opportunity to paint your own sea creature - maybe a whale, jellyfish or manta ray!

4 Week watercolour course

This is a beginner watercolour painting course. You will be guided through different watercolour techniques, styles and themes to build your painting confidence!
You will be provided with all the art materials you need including refreshments (just bring an apron to protect your clothes!)

4 Week Acrylic course
Venue : Freedom Centre
Dates: Monday 4,11,18,25 November 2024
Time: 7-9pm
Cost: £120
As part of my Monday evening art class we’re starting a beginner acrylic painting course. You will be guided through different acrylic techniques, styles and themes to build your painting confidence!
You will be provided with all the art materials you need including refreshments (just bring an apron to protect your clothes!)

Workshop and course Cancellation Policy:
This is regarding any workshop booked directly with myself (other cancellation policies may apply if booked with the venue)
Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance of the start of the event date will receive a 100% refund.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the event date will receive 50% refund.
If you cancel within 48 hours of the event date, you will be charged the full amount of the workshop.
