About Becky

I’m Becky, an artist based in Romsey, Hampshire.

I have always loved being creative and this progressed from just my passion into my day to day work in 2022 when I wanted a job that was more flexible with a young family.

Beyond studying art at school, I went to an art class as an adult to grow in confidence and then started exhibiting my artwork in local exhibitions around Hampshire.

I love experimenting with different mediums so my work can be in acrylics, watercolours or gouache, but generally anything involving a paintbrush and usually of an animal!

I invested in a high quality printer so I self-produce all my own cards and prints and started with selling these at artisan markets around hampshire, stocking in local shops and online on Etsy.

Since 2023 I’ve been running creative workshops and classes. I’m really passionate about introducing people to art in a relaxed, no pressure setting where you can find time and space to be discover your creative side.

I have even run christmas wreath making workshops as being creative doesn’t just extend to painting!

I now run two Regular Art Classes in term time, one in the New Forest and one in Romsey.

When I’m not working on art, I’m juggling life with two young, exuberant girls, my husband and our dearly loved Merlin the cat.

I love escaping to the wilderness in our campervan to find a remote mountain or snuggling by a fire to read a sci-fi or fantasy book !

My background and professional training is in Psychology and Social Work and I like exploring ways that people can access creative environments to enhance their wellbeing.
